Rwanda Study Tour 2009
In July 2009, The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre, in partnership with Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) and Johannesburg campuses), organised and led an intensive 2-week study course in South Africa and Rwanda. As part of their course-work, the 29 students and academics studied Apartheid in South Africa and the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, with particular focus on reconciliation and reconstruction.
Rwanda Study Tour 2008
The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre in partnership the South African Union of Jewish Students (SAUJS), the UNISA Primedia Holocaust & Genocide Unit and the AJC’s Africa Institute organized a study tour to Rwanda for a diverse South African and American student delegation. Participants were chosen from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, religions, universities and disciplines as well as their interest and commitment to share their experiences and make a contribution in their respective fields on their return.
